My Story
I grew up as the oldest child. Doing was my mode of operation. Not because anyone asked, but because I did not want to inconvenience anyone else. It never occurred to me to question it. That was just how it was. Until one day I was tired in a way that rest did not fix. So I asked others to take on their share. And they did. Without argument. Without drama. They were fine with it. I was the only one who had never stopped to ask.
I thought I had left that pattern at home. I had not. For thirteen years I managed complex technology projects across healthcare and the public sector. I led cross-functional teams, delivered within budget, and implemented systems that changed how organizations operated. I was the person who made things work. What I did not see was that I was running other people's priorities alongside my own. Holding responsibility that was never officially handed to me. It accumulated because I was capable, I showed up, and nobody ever said stop.
The pattern does not announce itself. It just quietly becomes your life.
The moment I named that clearly, not as a complaint but as a fact, everything changed. I started applying the same discipline to my personal life. Things did not fall apart. They fell into place.
I built the Scope Method because I could not find a program that worked on both dimensions at the same time.
If any of this sounds like your life, I built this for you.
